The Program Accreditation Committee at the College of Engineering Technology participated on November 26, 2024, in the sixth meeting of academic accreditation representatives in colleges and scientific departments, which was held at Al-Ayen Iraqi University. The meeting focused on reviewing the achievement rates in the updated self-assessment files and the indicators of the academic standards required for accreditation.
During the meeting, Dr. Fouad M. Salha, representing the College of Engineering Technology, delivered a brief presentation in which he discussed the indicators and evidence of the first standard for engineering technical accreditation. He reviewed how to investigate the evidence required to enhance the reliability of self-assessment files, in line with international standards. The presentation was well received by the attendees, who praised the value of the information he presented and its importance in enhancing academic work mechanisms and program accreditation.
The head of the college's accreditation committee also presented practical proposals that included the axes of educational, academic, and psychological supervision, indicating that the application of these axes contributes effectively to improving the student experience on campus and enhancing their acceptance of the academic atmosphere.
Finally, it was confirmed that these efforts are part of raising the quality of education and achieving a sustainable educational environment that enhances the college’s position in the engineering academic accreditation system.
