The College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at Al-Ayen Iraqi University held a specialized training workshop on women's self-defense.

In line with the university's plans to empower women and enhance their physical and psychological capabilities, the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at University organized a distinguished training workshop entitled "Basics of Self-Defense for Women." The workshop was prepared and supervised by Asst. Lecturer  Rezan Hassan Sattar.

The workshop was held in the college's central hall, attended by a distinguished group of female students and university affiliates. It covered the following topics:

An awareness-raising introduction to the importance of self-defense as a protective skill for women in various environments.

Practical applications include learning basic movements to extricate themselves from dangerous situations and maintain safe physical control.

A psychological and training aspect that enhances self-confidence and decision-making ability in emergencies.

Legal and health guidelines explaining how to deal with injuries and when self-defense skills can be used legally 

 During the workshop, the lecturer emphasized that the goal is not limited to physical training alone but rather includes build awareness, confidence, and the ability to protect oneself in safe and appropriate ways.

The workshop witnessed significant interaction from the participants through discussions and practical experiences. They expressed their appreciation for this initiative, which contributes to empowering women within a supportive academic environment.

In conclusion, attendees praised the role of the college and its deanship in supporting specialized training activities, emphasizing the importance of repeating such workshops and expanding their scope to include continuous development programs.
