Within the activities of the Global Entrepreneurship Week, organized by Al-Ain University in Iraq, under the auspices of His Excellency, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, the supervision of the Chanceller of the University Prof. Dr. Shafik S. Shafik, on November 12, 2023, the Department of Radiology and Ultrasound Technologies / College of Health and Medical Technologies, held a forum (The University of Radiology and Ultrasound on the occasion of World Radiology Day for the second year in a row). It included various number of activities, such as a theatrical show, video presentations, and a diverse exhibition.
The forum activities began in the main conference hall at the university in the presence of the Deputy Chanceller of the University for Scientific Affairs Assoc. Prof. Dr. Haider A. Marhoon, the Secretary of the University Council, the Director of the Department of Scientific Affairs and Cultural Relations Dr. Maitham T. Al-Moussawi, the Dean of the College of Health and Medical Technologies Assoc. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Abdel-Rida, and a number of college deans, heads of scientific departments of the university and an enormous number of students.
The ceremony inaugurated by reciting verses from the Holy Quran, reading Surat Al-Fatihah for the souls of the martyrs, practicing the national anthem and that of Al-Ayen Iraqi University, followed by a speech by the Deputy Chancellor of the University where he expressed his continued support for the students of the college, while the students of the department performed a stand and a staged scene called “Death with the Taste of Life.” Through which, they expressed their solidarity with the wounded Palestinian people. The activities also included the radiology technician’s diaries and various questions among the college students, while the ceremony concluded by honoring the organizer of the World Radiology Day the lect. Dr. Raad Ajeel, the department’s rapporteur Assoc. lect. Zahraa Falih, and the top students in the department.
