The Deputy Dean for Scientific Affairs Assoc. Prof. Dr. Raed N. Al-Obaidi was a member of the discussion committee of the PhD. thesis of the student Samra Adnan Abdel Muslim Jassim at the College of Information Technology / University of Babylon.

 The committee included the following members: Prof. Dr.  Ghaida A. Bilal, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nada A. Manea, Assoc. Prof. Dr.  Ahmed M. Muhammad, and Prof. Dr.  Safaa A. Mahdi as a member and supervisor. The thesis entitled “Swarm intelligence for resource allocation in fog computing”

 It focused on fog computing, which is considered the ideal solution to get rid of actual time to process real time, but determining the optimal number and location of fog servers is a problem that takes a long time to solve.

 Therefore, the bat algorithm was developed using clustering methods, and the proposed system was evaluated by comparison with two methods, and the results obtained were reflected in terms of system efficiency, network access time, and others.
