Al-Ayen Iraqi University (AUIQ) and the Ministry of Youth and Sports held a ceremony honoring outstanding students in Iraq for the academic year (2022-2023) under the slogan “Our students, you are our hope, with you Iraq prospers” at the Gilgamesh Hall in the Babel Hotel, in the presence of the Chairman of the Parliamentary Youth and Sports Committee MB Mohsen Al-Saeedi, a number of MBs, the Minister of Youth and Sports Mr. Ahmed Al-Mubarqa, representatives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Ministry of Education, the Chancellor of Al-Ayen Iraqi University Prof. Dr. Shafik S. Shafik and his Scientific and Administrative Affairs Assistants Assoc. Prof. Dr. Haider A. Marhoon and Atheer Y. Odeh, the families of the students, and the administrations of the schools of outstanding students.
His Excellency Dr. Ahmed Al-Mubarqa, stated that “celebrating outstanding students comes to confirm the approach of the Ministry of Youth and Sports for a whole year, to crystallize its work with all partner institutions in dealing with students and youth,” adding that “the Ministry has activated all its programs and plans in this direction, which supports our students and youth scientifically, artistically, culturally, and athletically, and develops their talents whatever their form. We have spared no effort to demonstrate this excellence in study, or talents, and to advance them, through training, courses, workshops, and honor our various departments, in line with the governmental approach that put us on the road map, under the title of support, providing the necessary needs, and communicating with students and youth, as an ambitious future work strategy that advances the youth, and strives to communicate with them in the specialties in which they have excelled, and by supporting it with volunteer and scouting work, which develops the spirit of citizenship, love of work, and stokes the spirit of brilliance in our youth, according to objective studies. The Minister extended his thanks to Al-Ayen Iraqi University (AUIQ) for its great cooperation and communication in serving creative youth through many programs and events. He also thanked the Chairman of the Youth and Sports Committee in Parliament MB Mohsen Al-Saeedi for his fruitful communication and continuous presence.
In his speech on the occasion, the Chancellor of Al-Ayen Iraqi University (AUIQ) Prof. Dr. Shafik S. Shafik thanked the Ministry of Youth and Sports and its Minister Mr. Ahmed Al-Mubarqa for his interaction and support for youth projects in general, and students in particular, and for opening the doors of the Ministry and its programs to students of schools, institutes and universities with a wonderful mechanism of which we are proud.
The ceremony witnessed many segments, including a documentary film, which brilliantly summarized many of the Ministry of Youth’s scientific, artistic, cultural, and sports programs, and its inclusion of talented people with well-known programs, which had the best impact on the souls of the students and their parents, as they expressed their thanks and gratitude for these programs.
