On Saturday, January 21, 2023, the President of Al-Ayen University, Prof. Dr. Shafiq Sh. Al-Mowla, and his assistant for scientific affairs, Associate Prof. Dr. Haider A. Marhoon, honored the head of the Sustainable Development Unit the Associate Lecturer Khaldoun F. Talib.

This honor came having the university won the third place at the launch ceremony of the first national report on universities' response to the sustainable development goals, owing to the report prepared by unit.
