The College of Medicine at Al-Ayen University held a joint meeting with the College of Medicine at Mansoura University today at 11:00 AM. The meeting was attended by the deans of both faculties, their deputies for academic and administrative affairs, and quality assurance and accreditation officials from both sides, as part of efforts to strengthen academic and scientific cooperation between the two institutions.

The meeting inaugurated with a welcoming address expressing gratitude to Mansoura University for the warm reception and generous hospitality extended to the delegation from Al-Ayen University during their recent visit. This was followed by a speech from Prof. Dr. Ashraf Shoma, Dean of the College of Medicine at Mansoura University, who emphasized the importance of consolidating scientific relations and expanding areas of joint cooperation between the two colleges.

The meeting addressed several important topics, most notably the upcoming visit of the Dean of the College of Medicine at Mansoura University and his accompanying delegation to the College of Medicine at Al-Ayen University in September 2026. Discussions also focused on mechanisms for exchanging expertise and teaching between the two colleges, and organizing a program for visiting professors to participate in clinical training and examinations at the teaching hospital of the College of Medicine at Al-Ayen University.

 During the meeting, Prof. Dr. Adnan T. Al-Khafaji, Dean of the College of Medicine, emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation between the two universities in various academic and scientific fields, particularly in the exchange of faculty members and medical expertise, and the development of clinical training for students. This cooperation aims to elevate the level of medical education and achieve international academic standards.

Representatives from the College of Medicine at Mansoura University expressed their strong support for expanding joint cooperation, affirming their readiness to support academic, scientific, and training programs between the two institutions. These programs will benefit students and faculty and enhance the quality of medical education.

The meeting also included discussions on prospects for joint scientific research, the possibility of forming specialized scientific committees to support collaborative research, board programs, and postgraduate studies, as well as cooperation in developing curricula, quality assurance and accreditation programs, organizing exchange visits for outstanding students between the two faculties, and the potential for establishing joint postgraduate programs.

This meeting is part of the College of Medicine, Al-Ayen's commitment to building effective academic partnerships with reputable Arab universities, contributing to the development of medical education, scientific research, and service to the healthcare sector.
