Under the sponsorship and supervision of the Dean of the College of Pharmacy Dr. Haider Hamed Al-Anbari, the training course to prepare graduates for the labor market, continued for its fifth consecutive day. The course, organized by the Continuing Education Center at Al-Ayen Iraqi University in cooperation with the Continuing Education Unit at the College of Pharmacy, amidst excellent attendance and engagement from students and graduates.

The first two days included training sessions presented by lecturer Thaer Latif Jabbar (Master of Clinical Pharmacy, University of Baghdad/College of Pharmacy - currently a PhD student). These sessions covered communication skills with patients in pharmacies, the scientific method for handling prescriptions, common gastrointestinal cases in pharmacies, and prevalent respiratory conditions. General advice was also provided on managing chronic conditions, particularly those related to cardiovascular diseases.

 The course also featured a series of specialized lectures in the field of cosmetics presented by Dr.  Samer Khalid Ali (PhD in Pharmacy, specializing in Pharmaceutics, University of Baghdad/College of Pharmacy) presented a lecture focusing on the types of cosmetic products, selecting the appropriate product, and providing proper guidance to customers to enhance safe use and improve customer service.

The activities also included a lecture titled "Commitment" by Asst. Lecturer Laith Ali Abdullah (MSc in Pharmaceutical Chemistry, University of Basra), which addressed aspects of professional commitment and its impact on the pharmacist's character and daily practice.

In the area of professional skills and marketing, Asst. Lecturer Hussein Hamid Hayal (MSc in Medicinal Pharma, University of Basra) delivered a lecture on communication, sales, and marketing skills. This included customer communication, professional sales techniques, and the principles of medical marketing, with practical examples relevant to the realities of pharmacy practice.

 The course also featured practical workshops and discussion sessions to exchange the latest resources and relevant information, in addition to structured breaks, which contributed to increased interaction and enriched the participants' practical experience.  The course is still ongoing as per its scheduled program, with best wishes to all students, graduates, and lecturers for more creativity, excellence, and active participation during the events in the coming days.
